This week in embedded finance

  • Joor is the world's largest wholesale platform and data exchange for fashion, beauty, and home. They are embedding payments into their platform to improve invoicing and international payments.

  • Next Insurance announced a partnership with Amazon Business to provide access to customized small business insurance. Business Prime members can easily obtain a quote from Next Insurance and quickly purchase General Liability, Professional Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Tools and Equipment insurance coverage.

  • New to me is Codat, which builds on Plaid to connect to small business bank accounts and then consolidate a host of integrations behind one unified API. Think syncing with QuickBooks, providing financial data for loan underwriting, or automatically reconciling purchase card transactions.

  • I also found out about Thimble from Fast Company’s list of the world’s most innovative companies. In 60 seconds, you can get a policy from one hour up to a full-time monthly plan. Save with the coverage you need at a price that makes sense. I love this tagline: All pay-per-work, no paperwork.
